I just can't resist adding this page... after all, this website was meant to be a travelogue; hence the name "wheresmaria.com"

Once upon a time, a friend (you know who you are!) quit her job and took off with just a backpack to travel around the world. She came back 8 months later with fascinating stories about her adventures! I must have been bitten by a travel bug because I, too, have been out to seek new adventures whenever I get a chance! It has been a wonderful journey and I hope to continue to fill those journal pages with interesting ~and not-so-interesting~ memories.
